OFFENSE: Malik Richard (Eastern Wayne) -- Hauled in two first-half touchdown passes and finished with 112 yards receiving in the Warriors' come-from-behind, 34-28 win over South Central in the ECC 3-A/4-A opener for both teams Friday.
DEFENSE: Jake Wiser (Eastern Wayne) -- The senior defensive end stripped the ball away from a South Central running back and returned the fumble 78 yards to the end zone. It was the game-winning score for the Warriors, who improved to 5-0 for the first time in program history.
SPECIAL TEAMS: Max Hernandez (James Kenan) -- The junior place-kicker averaged 54.5 yards on six kickoffs, including a 60-yarder, and had two touchbacks in the Tigers' victory over Princeton. It was the Carolina 1-A Conference opener for both teams.
