North Duplin slips past Spring Creek in tennis

MOUNT OLIVE -- North Duplin held off Spring Creek 5-4 in a Carolina 1-A Conference match at Mount Olive College on Thursday afternoon.
Julissa Quintanilla, Jasmine Quintanilla, Casey Whitted and Conner Miktka each won their singles matches for the Rebels. The team of Quintanilla-Quintanilla prevailed at No. 1 doubles.
Grace West and Sydney Ocker both collected a singles victory for the Gators. The tandems of Cassie Alphin-West and Stormy Westbrook-Ocker also won.
The two teams meet again Tuesday in Seven Springs.
