Rosewood linksters place 2nd at Wedgewood

WILSON -- Rosewood finished second in a five-team match at Wedgewood Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon.
Washington won the match with a team score of 140. The Eagles compiled a 144. North Johnston (156) finished third ahead of Wilson Beddingfield's total of 164. Princeton tallied a 177 and Neuse Charter did not record a team score.
Lindsey Burton led Rosewood with a nine-hole score of 44. Taylor Gales and Alana Pipkin both shot 50.
Neuse Charter's McKenna Hammer earned medalist honors with a round of 38.
Rosewood returns to the links on Oct. 1 at Northgreen Country Club in Rocky Mount.
