Rosewood linksters take four-team meet at Cardinal CC

SELMA -- Rosewood compiled a team score of 145 to win a four-team match on Tuesday afternoon at Cardinal Country Club.
The Eagles finished ahead of North Johnston (160) and Princeton (179). Neuse Charter did not record a team score.
Rosewood's Lindsey Burton and Neuse Charter's McKenna Hammer shared medalist honors with nine-hole rounds of 45. The Eagles' Taylor Gayles fired a 49 and Alana Pipkin shot 51.
Peyton Overbee led the Bulldogs with a round of 58. Rachel Mellon shot 59 and Logan Boykin carded a 62.
All four teams meet again Thursday for the final Johnston County Invitational match of the season at Pine Hollow Golf Course in Clayton.
