Golden Falcons shut down county foe Southern Wayne in tennis

PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock swept Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference foe Southern Wayne 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon.
Ashton Walker, Rachel Jackson, Casie Belom, Cassidy Coerver, Kassidy Pitchford and Megan Parrish each won their respective singles matches for the Golden Falcons.
The doubles teams of Walker-Coerver, Jackson-Parrish and Belom-Haley Creech also prevailed.
Aycock (8-3 overall, 7-1 ECC) entertains Rocky Mount today.
