WCDS nets victory over The Elon School

WILSON -- Wayne Country Day secured the outcome in singles play and handed The Elon School an 8-1 loss on the final day of the Alice Cobb Memorial contested at Barton College.
Taylor Willman, Jennifer Potts, Ally Willman, Meredith Roethling and Margaux Pope each claimed a singles points for the Chargers.
WCDS swept the doubles.
"(We're) trying different combinations. The girls are really hanging in there," Chargers head coach Joann Logan said. "(A) good rebound after the loss to Statesville."
The Chargers (6-2 overall) entertain archrival Greenfield on Thursday. First serve is 3:45 p.m. on the Wayne Community College courts.
