OFFENSE -- Kamone Best (Eastern Wayne) -- Rushed for a career-high 257 yards and three touchdowns on just 11 carries in a 50-20 win over Greene Central. The Warriors are 4-0 for the first time in program history.
DEFENSE -- Justin Boney (James Kenan) -- The senior linebacker logged nine tackles, including one stop behind the line of scrimmage, and caused a fumble during the Tigers' shutout win over county rival East Duplin.
SPECIAL TEAMS -- James Clyde (Goldsboro High) -- Moments after Charles B. Aycock scored a touchdown, Clyde returned the ensuing kickoff 80 yards to the end zone.
