Hobbton builds 3-goal lead, knocks off Spring Creek

NEWTON GROVE -- Spring Creek fell behind early and never recovered in a 5-3 loss to Carolina 1-A Conference foe Hobbton on Monday night.

The Wildcats led 3-0 at the half before the Gators mounted a rally.

Otto Binar scored two goals and had an assist for Spring Creek. Brayan Lopez added one goal and one assist in the defeat.

Spring Creek (3-1-1 overall, 1-1-0 CC) visits Neuse Charter on Wednesday.
