Rosewood linksters place 3rd

FOUR OAKS -- Rosewood finished third out of 11 teams in a golf match at Reedy Creek Golf Course on Thursday afternoon.
West Johnston tallied a team score of 129 and finished first ahead of Clayton's score of 145. Rosewood compiled a score of 147. Princeton shot 180 and ended the day in ninth place.
Lindsey Burton led Rosewood with a nine-hole score round of 45. Taylor Gales fired a 47 and Alana Pipkin shot 55.
The Bulldogs' Rachel Mellen recorded a score of 57. Peyton Overbee fired a 61 and Logan Boykin added a 62.
West Johnston's Monica Vidilkova earned medalist honors with a score of 38.
Rosewood plays host to Princeton, Neuse Charter and Pender County at Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course on Monday.
