Goldsboro serves up 25 aces against Hobbton

NEWTON GROVE -- Goldsboro collected 25 service aces on its way to a 25-11, 25-22, 25-19 season-opening win at Hobbton on Tuesday afternoon.
Alexus Davis pounded out nine kills to go with five aces for the Cougars. Matti Rose Lyon added eight aces. Bailee Ellis distributed 15 assists and tallied five aces.
Nickie Tyler contributed six kills and Becka Pittard had five.
Goldsboro (1-0 overall) entertains Hobbton on Thursday.
