Chargers drop season opener at Faith Christian-RM

ROCKY MOUNT -- Miller Gerard notched the lone goal in Wayne Country Day's season-opening, 4-1 loss to Faith Christian of Rocky Mount on Thursday afternoon.
The Chargers had a penalty kick disallowed due to encroachment.
WCDS (0-1-0 overall) travels to Hickory on Aug. 23 and visits perennial power Statesville Christian the following day.
