Trojans' Nesmith receives another postseason award

MOUNT OLIVE -- Tamara Nesmith, who helped lead Mount Olive College to the 2013 NCAA Division II women's basketball tournament, is a first-team all-state selection by the N.C. Collegiate Sports Information Association.
The senior from Richmond, Va., ranked fifth in Conference Carolinas in scoring (16.5 points) and fourth in rebounding (9.1 boards) per game this past season. She dished out 3.9 assists per contest and recorded a team-leading 13 double-doubles.
Nesmith is the third NCCSIA All-State selection in program history. Lakeisha Monroe was a first-team pick in 2008, while Jasmine Whitby was a two-time first-team selection in 2009 and 2011.
MOC concluded the year 18-12 overall.
