Eagles' Jones earns three medals at NCISAA 1A/2A state track meet

CARY -- Wayne Christian distance runner Connor Jones earned three top-three finishes during the season-ending N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association Classes 1-A/2-A men's outdoor track and field championship meet.
Jones, a junior, claimed state runner-up honors in the 1,600-meter run (4 minutes, 42 seconds) and second in the 3,200 (10:19.94).
He captured third in the 800.
Jones is the second Wayne Christian athlete to medal in the state meet during the past three years. Anthony Mulligan won the 2011 state title in the discus
