Wayne Christian advances in CCC baseball tournament

Wayne Christian launched defense of its Carolina Christian 1-A Conference tournament title with an 8-7 victory over Community Christian on Tuesday evening.
Cameron Foss allowed two hits in six innings. Austen Howell notched the save.
Tanner Rose, Brandon Price and Bryce Norman had two hits apiece for Wayne Christian.
The Eagles (9-3 overall) entertain Grace Christian of Sanford on Thursday. The teams met in last year's CCC championship, and Grace ousted Wayne Christian from the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association playoffs the following week.
