Spring Creek diamond 9 knock off Ayden-Grifton

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Spring Creek scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning on its way to a key 6-1 victory over Carolina 1-A Conference tri-leader Ayden-Grifton on Tuesday night.
The Chargers tumbled into a three-way tie for first in the league with North Duplin and Rosewood. All three teams are 5-2.
Luke Miller (two RBI), Logan Miller (two RBI), Allen Coor (RBI) and Chad Spurgeon each had a hit for the Gators. Spring Creek took advantage of four Ayden-Grifton errors.
Logan Miller earned the win on the mound with two scoreless innings of relief.
The Gators (9-9 overall, 4-3 CC) visit Rosewood on Thursday.
