Saints fall to NL in softball

DUDLEY -- Southern Wayne couldn't hang on to a late lead in a 7-5 loss to Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference foe North Lenoir on Tuesday evening.
Kelsey Hayes led the Saints with two hits and two RBI. Aubrey Sasser provided a double. Hayes endured the loss inside the pitcher's circle.
Southern Wayne (8-11 overall, 4-7 ECC) concludes its regularseason Thursday at Charles B. Aycock.
