Chargers scratch in win column

Wayne Country Day got its offense going early in a 20-1, non-conference victory over visiting Trinity Christian of Fayetteville on Tuesday afternoon.
Cody Neal led the Chargers with three hits and three RBI. Mason Bland and Mitch Turnage both supplied two hits and three RBI. Jack Langston added two hits and two RBI.
Turnage surrendered an earned run on three hits with five strikeouts and walked none in four innings of work to collect the win on the mound.
Wayne Country Day (6-10 overall) entertains Oakwood on Thursday.
