Aycock hammers out 15 hits at Cleveland

CLAYTON -- Charles B. Aycock pushed across six runs in the first inning during its 13-3, six-inning victory over Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference foe Cleveland on Tuesday evening.
Keely Fulgham (three RBI), Madison Walton (two RBI), Cierra Harris (RBI), Abbie Walton and Reagan Herndon each tallied two hits for the Golden Falcons.
Katie Gay (three RBI), Meredith Burroughs (RBI), Taylor Bradshaw, Jenna VanHorn and Lindsey Sutton all added a hit.
Aycock finished with 15 hits.
Burroughs picked up the win in the pitcher's circle.
The reigning 3-A state champions play host to defending 2-A state champ Beddingfield today, and entertain ECC foe Eastern Wayne on Thursday. Game time is 6 p.m. each day.
