Goldsboro girls out-shine league opposition

Goldsboro competed in a three-team Carolina 1-A Conference meet at Rosewood on Thursday afternoon.
The Cougars' Atleassia Carr finished first in the discus. Goldsboro's 400-meter relay team of Nekooshia Kornegay, Shareca Peay, Kiara Lewis and Kaylah James was also victorious.
James and Kimberley Martin each qualified for regionals in the 100-meter dash.
Team scores were not reported.
