Ayden-Grifton doubles up Princeton on baseball diamond

AYDEN -- Princeton held an early 2-0 lead, but was held scoreless during the final five innings of a 4-2 loss at Carolina 1-A Conference foe Ayden-Grifton on Thursday evening.
Brad Barnes, Jonathan Croom and Josh Boykin each collected a hit for the Bulldogs. Alex Harmon and Patrick Norris both supplied an RBI.
Freshman Matt Daughtry endured the loss on the mound. He allowed four runs (two earned) on four hits, struck out two and walked four.
Princeton (5-9 overall, 1-3 CC) entertains Rosewood on Tuesday.
