Greene Central shuts out Washington

BETHEL -- Chad Murphy crushed a two-run home run in the fourth inning and Greene Central hammered Washington, 10-0, on day two of the Pitt County Classic at North Pitt High School.
Murphy ended the day 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Austin Mooring contributed two hits and an RBI. Dillon Taylor batted 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Ben Brann claimed the mound win. He struck out six, walked three and surrendered two hits.
The Rams (6-5 overall) played perennial 3-A powerhouse Rocky Mount this morning.
