Fitzpatrick-Kaspar deny Cleveland's upset bid

Defending Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference champion Eastern Wayne collected the lone point it needed in doubles and turned back upset-minded Cleveland, 5-4, on Tuesday afternoon.
The Warriors' top-seeded tandem of Chaz Fitzpatrick-Mitchell Kaspar defeated the Rams' Jesse Olmstead-Dylan Betancourt, 8-1.
Fitzpatrick, Kaspar, Sawyer Thompson and Sam Biggs each earned a singles point.
Eastern Wayne (5-1 overall, 5-0 ECC) plays host to South Johnston today.
