Athletes from Wayne Country Day were recognized for their contributions and successes during their annual winter sports award ceremony.
The award winners were:
* Cheerleading: Most dedicated -- Sarah Crooks; MVP -- Brooke Neal; Coach's award -- Anne-Marie Davis.
* Boys' swimming: MVP -- Zan Pittman; Most improved -- Will Bartlett; Coach's award -- Daniel Covert.
* Girls' swimming: MVP -- Kate Thompson; Most improved -- Katie Fletcher; Coach's award -- Kennedy Dalton.
* Middle school boys' basketball: Offensive player-of-the-year -- Mitch Turnage; Offensive player-of-the-year -- John Strickland; Coach's award -- Blaine Creger; Most improved -- Jon Bryan.
* JV boys' basketball: Defensive player-of-the-year -- Jason Jones; Offensive player-of-the-year -- Preston Edwards; Coach's award -- Jacob Magera.
* JV girls' basketball: Most improved -- Lillian Freeman; Coach's award -- Olivia Dively.
* Varsity girls' basketball: MVP -- Sarah Best, Hannah Pearson; Coach's award -- Karis Hawkins; All-CPIC -- Best, Pearson, Hawkins, Bailee Creger; CPIC player-of-the-year -- Best; NCISAA All-state -- Best.
* Varsity boys' basketball: Senior award -- Cody Neal, Wyatt Bland, Deshar Thomas. All-CPIC -- Thomas, Lee Atkinson, Joel Davis, Marlon Coley (honorable mention); CPIC player-of-the-year -- Atkinson; NCISAA All-state -- Atkinson.
