Thomas logs 9 Ks in Goldsboro loss

Marlon Thomas recorded nine strikeouts in a complete-game performance, but Goldsboro dropped a heart-breaking, 4-3 non-conference decision to Hobbton on Thursday afternoon.
The Wildcats swept the regular-season series.
Kyle Kyker and Jared Howard paced the Cougars' offense with two hits apiece. Cayce Herring contributed one hit and an RBI.
Thomas Vick drove in a run.
Goldsboro plays host to Beddingfield today.
