Goldsboro's Malette wins three events

Goldsboro's Rasheid Malette claimed first-place finishes in the 110-meter hurdles, high jump and 300 hurdles during a Carolina 1-A Conference track meet.
Christian Martens won the 400 dash.
The Cougars' foursome of Jamal Taylor, Antonio Futrelle, Jacob Seate and Victor Prezbindowski captured the 3,200-meter relay. Futrelle, Martens, Jaleel Cook and Keith Jones combined to win the 1,600 relay.
On the girls' side, Grayson Collins turned in first-place performances in the 1,600 and 3,200 runs. Shamonica Artis won the discus. Kaylah James and Nicki Taylor prevailed in the 200 dash and shot put, respectively.
