FOUR OAKS -- Nick Quillen tied the Wayne County record for career victories and Rosewood swept a three-team, non-conference meet at South Johnston on Tuesday evening.
Quillen, a senior 132-pounder, scored a third-period technical fall over Triton's Hunter Young for his 201st career win. He shares the record established by Eastern Wayne alum Chris Tesar set in 2008.
The Eagles grounded the Hawks 41-36 and dispatched the host Trojans, 59-24. Quillen can break the record Thursday during Rosewood's home tri-meet against Northern Nash and Tarboro High on Thursday.
Mathews Cruz, Angel Jaramillo, Jordan Batson, Joshua Drew and Kaleb Smith each picked up an individual win against Triton. Jaramillo surpassed the 100-win plateau earlier this season.
Chris Gladson, Jaramillo, Cruz, Samuel Drew, Nick Lowrey, Evan Reiss, Josh Drew, Smith, Dylan Melgar and heavyweight Kaleb Taylor each claimed a win against South Johnston.
Rosewood improved to 31-10 overall this season.
