PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock emerged victorious in seven of eight individual contested matches and celebrated senior night with a 66-18 triumph over county and Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference rival Southern Wayne on Tuesday evening.

Seniors Jordan Bailey, Broc Doyle, Alex Edmonds, Jorge Flores, Charlie Mills, Khaleil Owens, Daniel Romo and Jaquan Walker participated in their final regular-season home match. The corps helped the Golden Falcons (26-5 overall) secure the league's No. 2 seed for the upcoming N.C. High School Athletic Association 3-A dual-team playoffs.

Aycock clinched its 15th straight postseason appearance.

"It was an excellent night for us as our seniors posted a (combined) 7-0 record on their night," Golden Falcons head coach Marc Peck said. "Charlie continued his comeback run with an impressive pin."

Romo, Edmonds, Walker, Owens, Ryan Morton and Landon Moore each pinned their respective opponent. Bailey, Doyle, Zack Howard and Jacob Dickenson each received a forfeit against the short-handed Saints.

Tyquan Colie claimed Southern Wayne's lone contested win at 195 pounds. Teammates Jalen Jones (126 pounds) and heavyweight Deonta Hayes each picked up a forfeit. Hayes, a junior, climbed to 21-3 this season.

The Saints exited 9-24 overall and 0-4 in the ECC.
