Preps digest: JV, middle school sports

JV sports
* Boys' basketball: Goldsboro 81, Rocky Mount Prep 40 -- Kisheem Faison led the Cougars (1-0 overall) with 18 points. Andre Castille scored 13 points and Daktavius Wheeler added 12 points. Eric Bufkin scored 11 points.
* Boys' basketball: C.B. Aycock 49, Wilson Hunt 47 -- Brandon Faison scored 13 points to lead the Golden Falcons. Jameer Pryor added 12 points and Jimmy Ellis scored 10 points in the win. C.B. Aycock improved to 2-0 overall.
* Girls' basketball: Eastern Wayne 23, Havelock 22 -- Kristina Muses led the Eastern Wayne offense with 11 points. The Warriors improved to 1-0 overall.
Middle schools
* Boys' basketball: Wayne Christian 25, Covenant Christian 17 -- Chase King led the Eagles with 11 points. Wayne Christian will travel to Epiphany on Nov. 27.
