Princeton holds off Goldsboro in soccer

PRINCETON -- Jose Morales notched the game-winning goal and Princeton turned back Goldsboro, 3-2, in a Carolina 1-A Conference game contested at the Fred Bartholomew Athletic Complex.
Morales scored twice on assists from Oliver Balderas. Cameron Cook supplied an unassisted goal.
Jeff Martinez collected two goals for the Cougars.
Princeton (8-8-4 overall, 3-3-1 CC) travels to Spring Creek on Monday, while Goldsboro (3-12-0, 0-7-0) concludes regular-season play at home Oct. 24 against Ayden-Grifton.
