JV football: Triton 31, Eastern Wayne 12

Triton opened up a 21-6 lead by halftime on its way to a 31-12 win over Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference foe Eastern Wayne on Thursday night at Little Big Horn.
The Warriors' Zeke Martin scored on a 10-yard touchdown pass from Ricky Steiner in the second quarter. Martin had three catches for 54 yards. Steiner was 8 for 17 through the air for 92 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions.
K.K. Best provided Eastern Wayne's other touchdown on a 71-yard run in the third quarter. Best finished with 126 yards rushing on 13 carries. He also caught five passes for 38 yards.
Shaquan Bell led the defense with six tackles. Robert Gonzalez and Ramon Rowes each had four stops.
