PRINCETON -- Kasey Edwards cranked out 10 kills and Princeton secured the Carolina 1-A Conference title outright with a 25-14, 25-16, 25-23 victory over Ayden-Grifton on Tuesday evening.
The Bulldogs (10-6 overall, 9-0 CC) grabbed the league's No. 1 seed for the N.C. High School Athletic Association playoffs, and an opening-round bye in the season-ending conference tournament.
Edwards also had three blocks. Amber Hill provided seven kills, six aces and two blocks. Savanna Massengill had four kills and four blocks. Tori Paul (four kills) and Taylor Carrollo (four kills) also contributed in the straight-set win.
It was the final regular-season home game for four seniors -- Hill, Katie Bennett, Logan Jones and Lauren Woodard.
Princeton concludes regular-season play Thursday at archrival Rosewood.
