Eagles' season ends in CCC tournament

WILSON -- Wayne Christian had its season come to a close with a 16-25, 25-18, 25-20, 25-18 loss to Community Christian in the first round of the Carolina Christian 1-A Conference tournament Tuesday evening.
Senior Katie Caviness finished with 12 kills, seven assists and two blocks in her final game as an Eagle. Fellow senior Katie Isenhower had 11 kills, nine assists and six aces. Kelsey Kornegay provided seven kills and seven aces. Morgan Foss and Jennifer Potts each added seven digs.
Reagan Taylor supplied six digs and five aces.
