North Duplin slips past Ayden-Grifton in tennis

MOUNT OLIVE -- North Duplin's third-seeded tandem of Casey Thornton-Hannah Smith triumphed in tiebreaker and helped cap a come-from-behind, 5-4 win over Carolina 1-A Conference foe Ayden-Grifton at the John Neal Walker Tennis Complex.
The Rebels trailed the Chargers 4-2 after singles play.
The No. 1 doubles of Julisa Quintanilla-Casey Whitted and No. 2 duo of Jazmine Quintanilla-Delaney LoAlbo each prevailed. The Quintanilla sisters accounted for the team's two singles points.
