Hawks shut down Rams in soccer

SNOW HILL -- North Lenoir jumped on top early and made the lead last in a 3-0 win over Greene Central on Monday night.
Oscar Avila scored two goals for the Hawks. Justin Shimer added the third North Lenoir goal. Doerico Sutton and Hunter Smith each finished with an assist in the win.
Caleb Baird made four saves in the net for the victors.
North Lenoir (3-6-2 overall) entertains Southern Wayne on Wednesday.
