Spring Creek netters turn back North Duplin

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Spring Creek slipped past North Duplin 5-4 in Carolina 1-A Conference play on Thursday.
Emily Daniel, Anna Haggerty, Tara Davis and Cassidy Goff each contributed a singles point for the Gators. Daniel-Haggerty also won at No. 1 doubles.
Casey Thornton and Delaney LoAlbo were both victorious in singles play for the Rebels. The teams of LoAlbo-Jazmin Quintanilla and Thornton-Hannah Smith won at Nos. 2 and No. 3 doubles, respectively, for North Duplin.
Spring Creek (2-1 overall, 2-1 CC) visits Ayden-Grifton next Tuesday, while the Rebels play host to Ayden-Grifton on Sept. 20.
