North Duplin slips past Goldsboro on volleyball court

North Duplin survived a five-set thriller and picked up a 25-22, 23-25, 30-28, 21-25, 15-8 win Tuesday evening at Carolina 1-A Conference foe Goldsboro.
Alexus Davis provided six kills and four aces for the Cougars. Brandy Johnson added five kills and two blocks.
Goldsboro (2-8 overall, 0-1 CC) plays host to C.B. Aycock today, while the Rebels travel to James Kenan.
