Goldsboro hands Spring Creek first league defeat of season

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Goldsboro defeated Carolina 1-A Conference foe Spring Creek 6-3 on Tuesday afternoon.
Cassidy Morris, Davis Houtzer, Sidney Cox and Cayce Hoggard each collected a singles victory for the Cougars. The doubles teams of Randa Boykin-Hoggard and Houtzer-Cox also prevailed.
Emily Daniel and Anna Haggerty contributed singles wins for the Gators. Daniel-Haggerty also won at No. 1 doubles.
Goldsboro is scheduled to complete a suspended match with North Duplin today. Spring Creek (1-1 overall, 1-1 CC) plays host to the Rebels on Thursday.
