Chargers turn back Faith-RM on tennis courts

ROCKY MOUNT -- Wayne Country Day won the final doubles point and escaped with a 5-4 win over Faith Christian of Rocky Mount on Monday afternoon.
Gianna Democko, Sarah Best and Meredith Roethling each won their respective singles match for the Chargers.
The pairings of Mollie McDonald-Democko and Abbey Pope-Best each prevailed in doubles play.
Wayne Country Day (4-0 overall) faces perennial 1-A powerhouse Statesville Christian in the Alice Cobb Memorial Tournament at Barton College on Friday.
