DEEP RUN -- Cedric Summers ran for 115 yards and three touchdowns on just seven carries, and North Lenoir rolled past South Lenoir 35-6 on Friday night.

The Hawks (1-3 overall) took advantage of critical Blue Devils' turnovers in the third quarter. South Lenoir lost three fumbles and two interceptions, and North Lenoir turned three of those miscues into points.

Devonte Sutton and Marsharee Troy both added rushing touchdowns for the Hawks.

North Johnston 28,

Princeton 21

* PRINCETON -- North Johnston scored 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter and rallied past Princeton 28-21 on Friday night.

The Bulldogs led 21-7 at halftime before the Panthers' running game went to work. North Johnston tailback DeAngelo Tyson scored two touchdowns in the final quarter and Daniel Williams added a score on the ground.

Williams finished with 155 yards and two scores on 13 carries. Tyson supplied 127 yards on nine carries.

Princeton tailback Johnny Frazier ran for a game-high 210 yards on 28 carries to go with two touchdowns. Bulldogs' quarterback Michael Wooten contributed 60 yards rushing and a score. Wooten also had 95 yards through the air.

Three of Princeton's four losses have come by combined 17 points. The Bulldogs (0-4) visit East Carteret next Friday.

North Stokes 34,

Rosewood 19

* DANBURY-- North Stokes took advantage of a young Rosewood secondary on its way to a 34-19 victory on Friday night.

Vikings' quarterback Garrett Wood completed 14 of 20 passes for 268 yards and four touchdowns. Wood tossed touchdown passes of 15, 60, 49 and 6 yards, and also added a 16-yard rushing touchdown.

North Stokes scored 19 consecutive points between the second and third periods to turn a 13-8 deficit into a 27-13 lead.

Eagles' running back Josh Davis tallied 138 yards on the ground on 15 carries with two touchdowns. Spencer Garrison added 78 yards on 12 carries.

"They made a couple of big pass plays that really hurt us," Rosewood head coach Robert Britt said. "We are still young in the secondary. Their receivers were using some double-moves that were giving us a hard time. It is not that was the only thing that determined the outcome of the game but those were two big plays that helped them."

The Eagles (1-3) play host to Lejeune next Friday.

East Carteret 42,

Spring Creek 8

* SEVEN SPRINGS -- Spring Creek fell behind early and never recovered in a 42-8 loss to East Carteret on Friday night.

The Gators (0-4 overall) were without three injured starters who play on both sides of the ball.

Quarterback DeVante Faison scored Spring Creek's lone touchdown on a 50-yard run in the fourth quarter. Terrel Johnson added 102 yards on 24 carries and contributed a two-point conversion.

"We ran the ball well," Gators' head coach Aaron Sanders said. "We missed a couple of opportunities in the first half to make the game tighter. We got inside the 15-yard line a couple of times and didn't get it in and that is tough. We have to get healthy during our open week."
