Wayne Christian wins CCC volleyball opener

RALEIGH -- Wayne Christian opened Carolina Christian 1-A Conference play in dramatic fashion with a 17-25, 25-19, 24-26, 26-24, 15-8 win on Tuesday evening at Trinity of Raleigh.
The Eagles (1-1 overall) trailed 20-12 in the fourth set before rallying to force a decisive fifth set. Katie Caviness finished with eight kills, eight assists and six kills. Katie Isenhower supplied eight assists, six kills and three aces.
Kaylee Wallace had six kills and six aces. Kelsie Kornegay added five kills.
