Rubio's goal lifts Rams past Hawks, 3-2

SNOW HILL -- Greene Central opened its 2012 season with a 3-2 victory over backyard rival North Lenoir on Wednesday.
Eustachio Rubio scored twice for the Rams, including the game-winning goal off of Alexis Selvan's assist in the second. Elvis Padilla contributed a first-half goal.
Justin Shimer and Johnnie Roberson found the back of the net for the Hawks, who exited 0-2-1 overall. Doerico Sutton and Joseph Grady supplied one assist apiece.
Greene Central (1-0-0) visits Goldsboro on Monday.
