MOUNT OLIVE -- David Heller has been named head men's volleyball coach and assistant women's volleyball coach at Mount Olive College.

Heller will work with Sarah Lusk, who continues to serve as interim head women's volleyball coach and assistant men's volleyball coach for the Trojans.

"David and Sarah will complement each other well, working together with our volleyball teams," said Eisen. "We look forward to great things with both of them."

Heller has spent the past year in Durham, England, as both a college volleyball coach and a professional volleyball player. He served as head volleyball coach at Durham University and played professionally for Team Durham.

Heller previously spent four years as an assistant men's volleyball coach at national power Lewis University (Ill.). Heller earned his bachelor of arts degree in human communications and marketing at Lewis, where he was a member of the Flyers' men's volleyball team. He is currently working on his master's degree in marketing management from Durham University.

"We are excited to have David join our staff," said Eisen. "He is a young, dynamic coach who will bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the men's volleyball team and help us move to the next level."

The Trojan men's volleyball season gets underway in January.

Mount Olive opens its women's volleyball season Aug. 31-Sept. 1 at the Francis Marion (S.C.) University Invitational.
