Here are the players-of-the-week from high school games played Aug. 24
OFFENSE
Tyler Royal (North Duplin) -- Rushed for career-high 255 yards and scored four touchdowns on 22 carries in the Rebels' season-opening, 48-14 victory over Chocowinity Southside.
DEFENSE
Michael Melendez (James Kenan) -- Recorded six solo stops and one quarterback sack for the Tigers' defense.
SPECIAL TEAMS
Thomas Kelly (Southern Wayne) -- Averaged 45-plus yards per punt, including a 50-yard boot from the end zone against James Kenan.
