No. 1-ranked Lawrence slips past WCDS, 6-5

* MERRY HILL -- No. 1-ranked Lawrence Academy erased a three-run deficit and dealt Wayne Country Day a 6-5, non-conference loss Friday afternoon.
The Chargers (1-4 overall) led 5-2 after 2 1/2 innings, but surrendered three third-inning runs to the Warriors.
Thomas Kierski started on the hill for Wayne Country Day and permitted five runs (three earned) on three hits, but received a no-decision. Cody Neal tossed the final four innings and yielded one earned run on two hits.
Neal led the Chargers' offense with two hits and two RBI. Cole Davis (two RBI), Mason Bland (RBI) and Kierski (RBI) provided one hit apiece.
