WILSON -- Mount Olive College plated 26 runs in 16 innings and blew out Conference Carolinas baseball rival Barton College, 14-1 and 12-2, at Nixon Field on Friday afternoon.

Severe thunderstorms and heavy rain that moved through eastern North Carolina washed out Saturday's contest, and the teams will conclude their three-game series today. First pitch is 2 p.m.

In the opener, Jake Moser tossed eight innings of seven-hit ball, while Geno Escalante and Antonio Callaway drove in three runs apiece. Moser (4-0) permitted just one unearned run and did not walk a better to remain perfect on the season.

Freshman Barinder Rakkar threw a perfect ninth.

In the nightcap, the Dawgs grabbed a 1-0 lead. Mount Olive (9-5 overall, 4-1 CC) responded with a back-breaking, eight-run uprising in the third inning. Bryan Dunlavey led off with a single, swiped second base and stayed there with Braden Reitano drew a walk.

Jacob Rogers swatted a bases-clearing home run -- his third of the year, and the romp was on. Jermaine Berry and Escalante each singled, while Daniel Coffey was plunked. Callaway smacked two-RBI double and Dunlavey cranked out a three-RBI double.

JUCO transfer Matt Dillon (1-0) continued to pitch effectively, allowing six hits and two walks in five innings. Relievers Skylar Sopotnick and Nolan Lancaster closed out Dillon's first win as a Trojan.
