Wayne County claims opener from Rocky Mount

ROCKY MOUNT -- Wayne County Post 11 claimed the opening game of the best-of-three Senior American Legion Area I semifinals with a 7-5 victory over Rocky Post 58 on Friday afternoon at Rocky Mount High School.
Adron Hollowell and Nick McGee both provided two hits and two RBI for Wayne County. Collin DuBose supplied two hits and an RBI. Cody Davis and Kevin Wish each contributed a hit and an RBI.
Tyler Farmer added a double and also walked twice.
Jordan Quinn earned the win on the mound allowing five runs in 6 2/3 innings of work. The win was Quinn's second of the postseason.
