Post 11 set to battle Pitt County

Wayne County Post 11 will continue its run through the Area I East playoffs tonight at Pitt County in the championship round. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Pitt Community College.
The teams will play a best-of-five series to decide the title. Game two will be at Mount Olive College on Tuesday as part of the alternate site format.
Wayne County advanced to the championship round with a two-game sweep over Edenton in the first round and a dramatic sweep of Rocky Mount in the semifinals. Post 11 closed out Post 58 with a thrilling 6-5 comeback win at Scarborough Field on Saturday night.
