Rain washes out Post 11

ROCKY MOUNT -- Game one the Senior American Legion Area I semifinals between Wayne County Post 11 and Rocky Mount Post 58 was rained out after 2 1/2 innings on Thursday night.
The two teams are scheduled to restart the opening game of the series at 4 p.m. today at XXX. Game two of the series has been moved to 7 p.m. on Saturday at Scarborough Field on the campus of Mount Olive College.
Wayne County (19-5) and Rocky Mount split a pair of meetings during the regular season. Post 58 (17-5) claimed an 8-4 win on June 16 in Mount Olive, while Post 11 earned a 17-1 victory on June 23 in Rocky Mount.
Thursday night's action was the first for Rocky Mount in 11 days after New Bern was forced to forfeit both games of their opening round series.
