C.B. Aycock 18, Spring Creek 4
* SEVEN SPRINGS -- Charles B. Aycock got off to a fast start and never looked back in a 18-4 win over Spring Creek on Monday night.
Bobby Hampton earned the win on the pitcher's mound with four strong innings that included two strikeouts. He allowed three hits. Jacob Naughton threw one inning of one-strikeout relief.
Hampton also paced the C.B. Aycock attack at the plate with three hits and four RBI. Justin Barbour added three hits. Adam Pate (two RBI), Gregory Johnson (two RBI) and Garrett Joyner (RBI) each finished with two hits.
Tim Naughton, Jordan Lee, Ryan Grant (two RBI) and Ben Rouse (RBI) contributed one hit apiece.
C.B. Aycock (11-5 overall) travels to Wayne South tonight.
Wayne South 12, Wilson Red 8
* DUDLEY -- Wayne South took advantage of some shaky play by Wilson Red and rallied for a 12-8 win on Monday night at the Doyle Whitfield Athletic Complex.
Clayton Cashwell earned the win on the pitcher's mound by tossing five innings of relief.
Colton Chrisman paced Wayne South at the plate with four hits, including an RBI double. Cashwell added three hits in the win.
Wayne South (9-4 overall) entertains C.B. Aycock tonight.
