Rebels' McCarty fans 15 Spring Creek batters

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Playoff-bound North Duplin concluded its Carolina 1-A Conference regular-season slate with a 16-2, five-inning conquest of Spring Creek on Friday evening.
Rebels hurler Skylar McCarty logged 15 strikeouts inside the pitcher's circle. McCarty, Ansley Hill and Kayla Alphin cranked out two hits apiece in the six-inning, mercy-rule contest.
Kailey Odom, Alonna Pate, Raychel Barwick and Casey Thornton each pounded out one hit.
The Rebels (6-10 overall) finished 5-5 in league play this season.
